Resumen:
We report on the first occurrence of the genus Stevenia Robineau-Desvoidy in the Neotropical Region, from the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, based on adult specimens of S. deceptoria (Loew) partly captured by the authors and partly examined in collections.
