Resumen:
The Del Azul Creek basin (Argentina),is a sub-humid continental plain and it is part of one of the largest plains inthe world. In this area, the spatial distribution of rainfall is highly heterogeneousand large amount differences have been observed over distances of 50 km. Takinginto account the distribution of precipitation, and the particularities of therelief, the aim of this work was to characterize the spatio-temporal patternsof rainfall stable isotopes by means of statistical tools. In this study wepresent some preliminary results that will be part of a larger work that willattempts to know the origin of rainfall and understand how hydrologicalprocesses work in this non-typical hydrological system.
