Resumen:
Nitric oxide (NO?) is a gaseous free radical, which acts as a key signalling molecule in plants. NO is involved in almost all biological processes in planta, including plant maturation and senescence, seed germination or dormancy, as well as ABA-mediated floral transition and stomatal movement. Meanwhile, NO also mediates a range of resistance mechanisms in plants under stress conditions, including the induction of genes related to phytoalexin biosynthesis. It has been reported in grapevine plants that ABA aplications elicited synthesis of terpenes and anthocyanins in all the tissues. In plants, nitric oxide (NO) can be enzymatically generated from nitrite (NO2−) by the enzyme nitrate reductase (NR), or from l-arginine by a nitric oxide synthase (NOS)-like activity.The aim of this job is to evaluate the effect of NO and its role in ABA signal transduction pathway leading the terpene synthesis of in pot-grown plants of Vitis vinifera cv. Malbec under field conditions.
