The comparison of these results with those published elsewhere shows that in Frontal Cordillera at least two types of dikes can be differentiated: one group with 018 and the other E-MORB signature. The E-MORB type correlates with the Western Precordillera basic rocks. The ultramafic samples from Salamanca Mine have primitive mantle signature while those of the Metales Belt and Precordillera have E-MORB geochemical signature.
