Several authors have studied the Las Aguilas deposit in San Luis Province, and established that the sulfide mineralization (pyrrhotite, pentlandite and chalcopyrite) and Platinum Group Minerals (PGM) are associated with the mafic-ultramafic rocks. But until the present paper, PGM in the metamorphic basement have not been identified. This contribution describes the presence of three kinds of PGM in samples from drill 5/4: platinum arsenides, platinum-palladium bismuthotellurides and palladium bismuthotellurides, present in mafic-ultramafic and in metamorphic rocks from the Las Aguilas East deposit.
