With exception of Las Aguilas deposit there was not a detail map of mafic-ultramafic bodies which appear between Las Aguilas River and of the Manantiales stream in San Luis province. The lack of petrography and geochemistry information made difficult the petrological vinculation between surface and subsurface rocks. For this reason the main propose of this paper are to make a geological map of the area and evaluate the petrological-geochemical nature of the different igneous rocks. The mafic-ultramafic bodies are in contact with the metamorphic basement by high dip angle fault and/or intrusive contacts in which appear mafic milonites with garnets. In Las Higueras and Virorco bodies was possible to identified igneous outcrops with layered primary magmatic texture. Such type of texture is non-uniform and with intermittent regularity. The study of these bodies was difficult because the presence of deformation-metamorfism and alteration processes which affected them. These processes make changes not only in the mineralogy of the rocks, but also in the structural position of the layered texture with different direction-angule dip.
