Resumen:
The present study involves the synthesis and characterization of novel magnetic composites from agricultural waste and their applications in environmental remediation for water purification. Sun flower husk was pre-treated with alkali and acid solution. The magnetic composites was obtained by co-precipitated the iron oxide (Fe3O4) in pre and un-pretreated sunflower husk. Raw materials and composites were morphologic characterized by SEM, TEM, FTIR and DRX. The surface charge of adsorbent material was analyzed by z potential assays and the average hydrodynamic size was determined by DLS measurements. The performance as adsorbent of heavy metal and pesticides from water was evaluated in batch experiences, with lead and dichlorvos as model pollutants.
