Resumen:
The Argentine Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (A2B2C) was founded in 2009 to promote the exchange of ideas between researchers, students and professionals in the different areas that nurture the field. Over its first decade A2B2C organized 10 Annual Conferences in different cities throughout the country, including the 2016 ISCB-LA conference in Buenos Aires. It also delivered several in-person and remote training opportunities, many jointly with RSG-Argentina.Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic A2B2C has built an active online presence that proved essential to grow and keep the community together. We hosted monthly webinars with experienced and upcoming local researchers of international reach, offered several online workshops and actively engaged through social media. After a year hiatus the Annual Conference returned remotely in 2021 and will be back as an in-person event in November 2022. Many online and offline activities are in the plans for 2023 and beyond.
