Resumen:
We have developed a modular communications system based on com- mercially available components and Linux operative system for reliably transporting the Pierre Auger Observatory (PAO) surface detector and AMIGA muon counters data. The system is comprised of a computing platform running Linux, software and an IEEE 802.15.4 compatible radio system, each of which can be consider a module that can be changed or modified if needed, without affecting the rest. The software includes ra- dio controller, protocol stack and transparent PAO SD data integration. The system is now at an advanced test stage in the field and it is be- ing evolved as the real conditions call, taking advantage of the modular designs flexibility. Archivo Completo Confidencial.
