Resumen:
This paper presents a multivariable power controldesign applied to a DFIG Wind Energy Conversion based System(WECS). The multiple control objectives pursued in this workinclude not only tracking temporal profiles of active and reactivepower grid injection but also regulate some important internalvariables like the DC bus voltage. To fulfil these targets amultivariable control scheme is developed following secondorder sliding mode techniques. This theoretical framework allowssynthesizing controllers with attractive features like finite timeconvergence, robustness against external perturbations andunmodeled dynamics, simple implementation, etc. To endorse thecontrol system with grid support features under voltageunbalances the multivariable SOSM controller is combined witha set of resonant filters. This mixed scheme allows tosubstantially reduce the oscillations of simple and double gridfrequency on the electric torque and the power injected into thegrid. The overall performance of this control proposal isevaluated using representative simulations.
