This paper introduces a blockbasedmultiple frequency estimation techniquefor complex sinusoids in the presenceof noise. The proposed adaptive method isbased on an all-pass notch filter that workssequentially. The algorithm is adjusted toan off-line operation by repeatedly processingthe available block of samples. This resultsin a low complexity alternative to classic subspacemethods such as MUSIC and ESPRIT.A typical application field of the new techniqueis the carrier frequency offset estimationof multiuser multicarrier modulation.
