Resumen:
Election patterns study for medicinal plant in urban area of the west Bonaerense (Argentina). In this paper, patterns for medicinal plant choosing where researched for an urban area from the Gran Buenos Aires (Provincia Buenos Aires): Pdo. Hurlingham. Structured surveys where directed to drugstore and herbal medicine store costumers from the area. It was also relieved homes through semi-structured surveys. The results obtained, it was demonstrated that chamomile (Matricaria recutita L.) was the most used species. Likewise, it was found that there are people who collect plants in urban environments while others are cultivated and/or benefit from the natural vegetation. Whereas the mother and grandparents are the main source at the moment to recommend herbs for primary health care, it can be said that the cultural transmission of information remains the determinant when choosing plants as a therapeutic resource..
