Resumen:
This paper describes and compares the results of seismic topographies, performed in five rock glaciers, present in the Río Blanco sub-basin, which is 4860.85 km2 and belong to the main Río San Juan basin. This sub-basin represents 12.64% of the total area of the San Juan river basin. In the sub-basin have been inventoried 1363 glacial and periglacial bodies. This work is a contribution to the Project ¨ Glacier Inventory in Río San Juan basin.¨ Agreement between the Government of the Province of San Juan and the Faculty of Exact, Physical and Natural Sci-ence, National University of San Juan, Argentina. The selection of glaciers was based on prior information and analysis of digital elevation models. and satellite images observations from dif-ferent platforms. Four active rock glaciers were selected and besides another more inactive. On the other side, field geomorphologic descriptions, location and characterization of structures, as well as topographic and geological surface surveys, were conducted specifically along the seismic lines.
