Resumen:
This work presents evidence from three different valuation studies on the infl uence of gender in theformation of forestry-related values. Previous studies examined gender differences without explicitlyconsidering their interaction with other explanatory variables. Three separate studies dealing withforest-related goods and services, revealed statistically signifi cant differences in peoples? preferences, especially between older women and older men, and older and younger women. In these studies, although there was no overall difference in preferences attributable to gender, there were signifi cantdifferences related to age and income, in combination with gender.
