Fibrous blankets have recently received attention in the chemical industry due to their potential applications as stable supports for catalytic particles, filters, and absorbents. On the other hand, zeolites have been used in several of these applications and usually in pellet form. However, a proper dispersion of the zeolitic particles in a catalytic bed can achieve improvements in efficiency and reduce local thermal effects associated with the use of catalytic particles in a single bed.
