Resumen:
A dissimilar electrochemical behavior was found for 70/30 and 90/10 Cu/Ni alloys in different media containing chloride, sulfide or their mixtures. A synergistic effect of these anions on the corrosion process of copper-nickel alloys was verified through potentiodynamic measurements. Mixed cultures of facultative aerobic (Vibrio alqinolyticus) and anaerobic (Desulfovibrio vulgaris) microorganisms were used to examine the corrosion behavior of 70/30 and 90/10 Cu/Ni in organically polluted media. The uneven distribution of bacteria and their extracellular polymeric substances, mixed up with corrosion products reduces the protective characteristics of the outer layer of precipitated corrosion products
