Resumen:
Microorganisms influence corrosion by changing the electrochemical conditions at the metal/solution interface. It is wellknown that biofilms affect the interaction between metal surfaces and the environment. Planktonic and sessile cells of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were used as a model microorganisms to assess biocidal effectivity of ozone.  The effect of ozone on the corrosion behaviour of heat exchanger structural materials are also reviewed.
