Resumen:
The interaction of several cells and molecules in the tumor microenvironment (TME) promotes tumor-aggressive features. Previously we found that parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP), a cytokine from TME, promotes an aggressive phenotype in HCT116 colorectal cancer (CRC) cells and that conditioned medium from PTHrP-treated HMEC-1 endothelial stromal cells (CM) induces epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) in CRC cells. The aim of this work is to further investigate the PTHrP effects on CRC and its TME. HCT116 cells were treated with the CM.
