Resumen:
In recent years, quinazolinones and their partially saturated analogs have come into the focus of interest because of their noteworthy pharmacological activity, e.g. nucleoside analogs with potential analgesic and antiinflammatory effects or thymidylate synthase inhibitor activity.1,2 Quinazolinones present tautomerism;3,4 therefore, the understanding of their equilibrium properties and energetics is relevant for the study of molecular processes leading to their pharmacological activities. Besides the existence of tautomers, there are other important structural features, especially for cis-quinazolinones, as for instance the coexistence of two distinct conformers (N-in and N-out)
