Resumen:
Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter and aneuromodulator found in the autonomic, peripheral andcentral nervous systems. Diazinon is a pesticide with toxiceffects on humans, such as the inhibition of acetylcholine. Inthis paper, a biosensor is proposed for the detection ofacetylcholine (range 70 ? 1000 μM) and diazinon (range 0.3 ?20000 ppb). This biosensor combines a pH-sensitive layer ofreduced graphene oxide functionalized with 4-aminobenzoicacid and acetylcholinesterase. This enzyme was immobilized onreduced graphene oxide and it catalyzed the conversion ofacetylcholine into choline and acetic acid, locally decreasing thepH value and triggering the sensor response. The limit ofdetection for the acetylcholine and diazinon were 70 μM and0.3 ppb, respectively
