SUMMARY: An aeropalynological study was conducted for the first time in La Plata City (35ºs, 58ºW) using Hirst type volumetric sampler (Lanzoni VPPS 2000). It was made from July 1998 to June 1999. 58 taxa were identified. Platanus sp., Fraxinus sp., Cupressus sp. and Poaceae were the most important ones, reaching 77,30% of the total pollen count. Urticaceae, Cyperaceae, Myrtaceae, Acer sp., Ambrosia sp., Celtis sp., Casuarina sp. and and Poaceae were the most important ones, reaching 77,30% of the total pollen count.
