According to the experiences that are being carried out in various ongoing projects, the new fast-growing willows are suitable for industries (pulp and paper, sawmill and particularboard), and also have good potential for other innovative uses such as application in parts of constructions, environmental services and silvopastoral systems. A broader clonal variability will allow a rapid replacement of cultivars, being relevant to improve productivity in the coming years, to achieve a good level of volume and quality of wood.
