Resumen:
The x-ray emission in atomic transitions from inner shell vacancy states contains importantinformation of interest in the field of atomic physics as well as for several applications indifferent spectroscopic techniques.  The experimental determination of atomic parametersfrom the analysis of x-ray emission spectra is an important tool for the validation oftheoretical models of atomic structure and relaxation processes. In this work, decays to M-shell vacancies in Hf, Ta, W, Pt and Au induced by electrons werestudied.  To this purpose, M x-ray spectra were acquired with a wavelength dispersivespectrometer.  The measured spectra were processed by using a robust fitting procedure basedon a parameter refinement method which accounts for all the spectral features related to x-raygeneration, absorption and detection
