Resumen:
Heteropolyacids are used as re-dox catalysts due their bi-functional properties. Among some advantages over conventional catalysts can be emphasize their selectivity, easily isolation and reuse. In homogeneous conditions, the isolation and recycling can turn harder for that they are supported for their use as heterogeneous catalysts. In this work, we compare catalytic activity of different heteropolyacids with Keggin structure, supported on pure and functionalized silica (with 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane), respectively. The H6PMo11BO40, H6PMo11BiO40, H6PMo11LaO40, and H6PMo11YO40, were synthesized, supported and characterized by several physical-chemical techniques. Highly selective results were obtained in the selective oxidation of diphenylsulfide to diphenylsulfoxide or diphenylsulfone. Besides, these catalysts could be reused. The above mentioned reaction is usefulness due the importance of these compounds as intermediates in biologically significant molecules synthesis.
