Resumen:
We describe Woodburnodon casei gen. et sp. nov. (Mammalia, Marsupialia, Microbiotheriidae) the largest known microbiotheriid, and the second representative of this family known for the Eocene of the Antarctic Peninsula. Its finding confirms the large dominance of marsupial taxa among the mammalian assemblage of the La Meseta Formation.
