Resumen:
The BATATA detector is a muon telescope composed by three x − y planes buried underground at different depths. Each x − y plane is composed by 98 scintillators bars half of those oriented in the x direction and the other half in the y direction. Each scintillator strip has a fiber optic glued into a groove with a special glue. In this work we report the methods and protocols developed to prepare the fiber optics to glue them into the scintillator strips and also the methodology and protocol developed for the gluing process. These procedures are of great importance for the good performance of the detector as a whole.
