Resumen:
The population of Low Surface Brightness (LSB) galaxies in the Fornax cluster has been explored by several surveys, like the Next Generation Fornax Survey and the Fornax Deep Survey, up to ~3 Rvir and 𝞵~28 mag arcsec2. In the context of the S-PLUS Fornax Project (S+FP) we are studying the galaxy population of Fornax and its outskirts, using 106 S-PLUS fields (1.4 x 1.4 deg2), covering an area of ~208 deg2 up to ~5 Rvir in RA. In this poster we present preliminary results about an intent of detecting such faint objects at the Fornax distance using S-PLUS images (𝞵R~23 mag arcsec2) . To that aim, we are performing several tests using SExtractor, as well as Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques, to try to recover a set of LSB galaxies reported in the literature in the Fornax region that are visually seen in the S-PLUS images. Our final goal is to extend the search of LSB galaxies displaying 𝞵R
