Resumen:
Fornax is the second richest galaxy cluster within 20 Mpc after Virgo thus representing a remarkable environment in the southern sky. Though highly studied, Fornax has never been analyzed simultaneously with a wide field of view and 12 (5 broad- + 7 narrow-) band filters before. The S-PLUS Fornax Project (S+FP) aims at studying the Fornax galaxy cluster using S-PLUS images and catalogs. The project started analyzing 23 S-PLUS fields observed as part of the iDR3, covering an area of ~45 square degrees out to a radius of ∼5 degrees from the cluster center (~2.5 Rvir). We noticed that some dwarf and bright Fornax galaxies were missed in the S-PLUS iDR3 catalogs because the SExtractor parameters used to obtain them aims at providing useful data for both galactic and extragalactic purposes. In this poster we present an effort to identify SExtractor parameters that are suitable to properly detect galaxies previously catalogued as spectroscopically confirmed or likely members of the Fornax cluster in the S-PLUS images of iDR4. In addition, we intend to automatize the process of running SExtractor on S-PLUS images implementing it in a python code.
