Study of 1s3p resonant inelastic X-ray scattering in Mn, Cr and compounds with high energy resolution

Se realizaron experimentos de alta resolución de dispersión inelástica resonante de rayos X por electrones 3p en Cr y Mn. Se observaron los comportamientos característicos de un espectro Raman resonante de rayos X: dispersión lineal de la energía del pico inelástico a medida que la energía de excitación se aproxima a la del borde de absorción, aumento abrupto de la intensidad y angostamiento del pico inelástico, a valores menores que el ancho de la radiación fluorescente, en la condición de resonancia.High-resolution resonant inelastic X-ray scattering experiments by 3p electrons of Cr and Mn have been carried out. The characteristic features of a resonant Raman spectrum were observed: linear dispersion of the inelastic peak energy as the excitation energy approaches the absorption threshold, sharp rise of the peak intensity and line-width narrowing, to values lower than the fluorescent width, at the resonance condition.
