The use of H2O2 for oxidizing organic substrates has environmental implications, water being the only chemical by-product of oxidation reactions. A study concerning the use of Ni-containing molecular sieves MEL (ZSM-11) topologies for the styrene oxidation by hydrogen peroxide was performed. High benzaldehyde selectivity was observed. The influence of styrene/H2O2   molar ratio and the temperature on the styrene conversion has been investigated. The catalytic properties of Ni-HZSM-11 samples prepared by wetness impregnation and ion-exchange have been analyzed.
