Molecular identification and characterization of manganese oxidizing bacteria isolated from biological filtration water plants

In this work Manganese oxidizing bacteria were isolated and identified from BioCISUNR® Water Treatment Plants. Thereby, samples were collected, and specificculture media were used to perform the selection and isolation. The ability of Mnoxidation of selected isolates was confirmed by the Leucoberbelin blue assay. Inaddition, the isolates of interest were identified by molecular methods.
