Plant diseases are responsible for important losses incrops and cause serious impacts in agricultural production.In the last years, proteomics has been used to examineplant defense responses against pathogens. Such studiesmay be pioneer in the generation of crops with enhancedresistance. In this review, we focus on proteomicsadvances in the understanding of host and non-hostresistance against pathogens.
