Resumen:
The
influence of the chloride concentration on the mass transport through unpigmented
and plasticized chlorinated rubber films applied on steel was studied using the
potentiostatic oxygen reduction as the test reaction. Besides, DC
electrochemical measurement was also used in order to assess the coated steel
deterioration with immersion time. From the experimental results it may be
concluded that these varnishes applied in very thin films gave a good
anticorrosive protection level, which was attributed to both, the coating
permselectivity and its strong adhesion the steel substrate.
