Resumen:
During the period 1993-1998, stratospheric ozone profiles and tropospheric total water vapor content over Mendoza, Argentina, have been obtained. These measurements were achieved periodically from different locations, and are unique in this region of the southern hemisphere using ground-based microwave radiometry-spectroscopy techniques. The frequencies used were 142 GHz for ozone, 92 GHz for water vapor continuum, and experimentally,  at 20 and 30 GHz for total troposheric water vapor and  liquid water content. The troposheric water vapor measurements were also used to calibrate the ozone radiometric data. The stratospheric ozone profiles were retrieved from the radiometric measurements and their relative accuracies vary from 4 to 10 %. The stratospheric profiles have also a spatial resolution of  4 to 5 km and have a minimal temporal resolution of one hour.  The objective of these measurements was to gain information about the stratospheric ozone seasonal variations occurring at heights from 15 to 45 km. This is very relevant due to the lack of stratospheric ozone profiles at southern midlatitudes. The paper report the stratospheric ozone profile variations over Mendoza during the mentioned period, which were compared and validated with space-borned and ground-based data
