10.1039/C9OB00486FFluoroalkylation reactions of (hetero)aromatics have beenaccomplished through the low-power illumination from red LEDs( lmax= 635 nm) of commercially available perfluoroalkyl iodides RFIand phthalocyanine zinc salt as photocatalyst in MeCN : DMFsolvent mixture. This methodology has been extended to theperfluorobutylation of sulfides. As far as we are concerned, this isthe first report on a perfluoroalkylation reaction of(hetero)aromatics and sulfides under red-light photocatalysis.
