Resumen:
The objective of this research work is the development and biophysical characterizationof nanoformulations as transporters of specific antitumor drugs for the treatment ofcolon cancer. The drugs that will be used are: 5 fluoracil (5-FU) and Regorafenib (REG).The novelty of research work is the implementation of photopolymerizable lipids andliquid metal nanoparticles, which biocompatibility has been recently demonstrated byChechetka et al, 2017. These nanocarriers are photosensitive, when they are illuminatedwith low intensity laser radiation, they increase their temperature for the plasmonicabsorption they present. While they raise the temperature, they generate reactiveoxygen species (ROS).Therefore, with the characteristics of the nanoparticles to be used, it is expected tocontrol tumor proliferation in 3 ways: by means of the drug encapsulated in the liquidmetal nanoparticles, the increase in temperature and the oxidative activity of the ROS.An important step is to carry out cytotoxicity and cell viability experiments in differentcell lines, for which CaCo2 will be used as a colon adenocarcinoma model and HeLa as ageneral model.
