Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco is the second most planted pine species in Patagonia, because of its wood quality and growth rates. In a representative stand of the species in Patagonia with ilvicultural treatments (different intensities of thinning), we studied, at a plot level, the impact of a wildfire on different parameters, including short and long term tree survival, height and percentage of crown scorch, diameter growth, and presence of pathogens.
