Resumen:
Home literacy environment studies have observed correlations between book access andshared reading practices with early language development in infants. The objective of thepresent work was to study early language development in a sample of 12 to 40 month oldchildren, and is association with: home reading habits, attitude towards reading incaregivers, reading comprehension in caregivers and frequency of use of electronicdevices (smartphones, pc, TV); while controlling for age and socioeconomic factors. Ourstudy sample consisted of 136 primary caregivers of children (53 girls; M = 26,34 ± 7,55months). Early linguistic development was evaluated with Mc Arthur-BatesCommunicative Development Inventory (CDI), words and sentences form.
