Resumen:
This report details the successful treatment of a severe neck wound in aferal greylag goose (Anser anser) using autologous thrombocyte-richplasma (TRP) and xenogeneic fibrin mesh from a healthy domestic dog.Goose´s TRP was obtained after sedation, collecting a 5 mL blood samplefrom the basilic vein, anticoagulation, and centrifugation at 200 g for 10minutes. The lower third with the buffy coat was collected. Forxenogeneic fibrin mesh, the domestic dog was sedated, blood was drawnfrom the jugular vein, and after centrifugation at 553 g for 10 mins, theclot was extracted, pressed between sterile culture dishes for 10 minutesto create fibrin mesh and serum harvested. Significant improvementoccurred within a week, with complete healing after two weeks, showcasing the potential of TRP and xenogeneic fibrin mesh in avianspecies wound treatment, aiding rehabilitation and reintegration of wildspecies.
