The research on techniques to perform simultaneous transmission and reception on the samefrequency bands has become a topic of high interest in recent years. Nevertheless, the applicabilityof digital self-interference cancellers is hindered by the dynamic range limitations ofcurrent analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). We show that it is possible to suppress the selfinterferencecomponent immediately before the signal digitalization by taking samples of thereceived signals when the interference crosses the zero-amplitude level, and that this methodpreserves the useful information in the desired signal samples. We also present simulatedperformance results for this new transceiver architecture
