Resumen:
Gaining access to clean and efficient energy conversion and storage platforms is a central paradigm of our times. In this context, supercapacitors (SCs) have gradually emerged as plausible alternatives to common electrochemical batteries, and in particular lithium-ion batteries. Specifically, SCs are currently employed in hybrid electric vehicles, portable electronic devices, and also in industrial energy and power management [1]. The appealing features of SCs is their high-power density, extraordinary cycling stability, low-cost, fast charging-discharging dynamics, and high performance. However, one critical disadvantage associated with them is their low energy density, as compared with common lithium-ion batteries.
