Resumen:
We show the preliminary results obtained in a statistical study on the mass/luminosity (M/L) relation and the galaxy bias in nearby Universe. Our study is based in the mass estimation from observational data sets. We used galaxy peculiar velocity estimates, the UZC galaxy and group catalogs. In order to test and calibrate the observational results we used mock catalogs. The mean infall amplitudes are obtained from projected peculiar velocities and the mass overdensities are estimated using the nonlinear infall model asumming cosmological parameters for a ΛCDM Universe. M/L have been estimated and tend to reach a constant value ≈800 h2 Msun/Lsun. We have also estimated the bias in galaxy distribution, obtaining b=δglx/δmass in the range 1<b<1.6.
