Resumen:
After the first flight tests of the UAV prototype called LCA-FICA-X03 whose mission is to travel great distances, we saw the need to have an energy microgrid installed in it, with an emergency generation system that It was independent of any condition, be it environmental or the time of day, and a generation system was thought of that is low weight, low power and low cost that can power the UAV flight for its return home in an emergency. The idea is that the electric motor is used at first as a starter, and once the combustion engine starts, it goes to its function as a generator. A stand for the generator is designed and built and various laboratory tests are done until it can be tested with the UAV in flight.
