Resumen:
Microfluidics, among other disciplines, has turned to biology as a source of ideasfor the design of microfluidic circuit components. The bio-inspired microfluidicdiode is the subject of research in this work. The general objective is an analysisof characteristics that contribute to its design. To this end, a brief review ofnatural mechanisms proposed by several authors from biology for the design of amicrofluidic diode is carried out. Bio inspired microfluidic research is analyzed inorder to identify design features. As a result of the analysis, different dimensionsrelated to analogy, biomimetic thinking, physical and functional principles areidentified, with which different strategies for the bioinspired design of these devicescan be elaborated.
