Resumen:
A preliminary study of planar specular reflectors and their impact on a roof-top PV installation is presented. Optimal placement of flat mirror reflectors is analyzed regarding their installation, the tilt angle. Simulations are performed taking into consideration real irradiation data acquired on site. The chosen site is a PV installation already placed on the roof-top of the Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. A MATLAB simulation model is presented considering isotropic sky model in order to optimize the angle of the reflector for different tilt angle configurations. Using this results typical days performance are obtained and also the optimal monthly tilt angle is established.
