Resumen:
In the last 10 years Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering Education Programs have been growing up significantly in Latin American Region. The special session has the aim to give an overview the status of Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering in Education, Accreditation process and Innovation on Research based on the global health needs of the region. Speakers from the IFMBE Working Group Coral coming from different regions were invited to share with the attendees their prospective and experiences on Th current ?good? practices in training our BME/CE undergraduates and How well does their undergraduate BME/CE program in our region prepare their graduates for the workforce. The importance of the innovation in the process of research during undergraduate and postgraduates education. The accreditation process. In addition the main areas of employment is offered to our future bioengineers, biomedical engineers and clinical engineers. In (a) healthcare (hospitals) industry (b) medical device & entrepreneurship (c) medical technology sectors. One other option is (d) Graduate studies which I believe about 20-30% of the graduates will end up in graduate school.
