Mesa redonda; Cooperations between Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Instituto Nacional de Limnología (INALI); 2014

A scientific cooperation research program is been developed between The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR, South Africa) and the Instituto Nacional de Limnología (INALI, Argentina) supporting joint research and extension projects among freshwater scientists from both countries. This collaborative study is performed in the Paraná River, one of the largest in the world, and the Berg River (South Africa) with the aims to determine levels of pollutions and biota effects. In this presentation I discuss about problems associated with spatial scales, transcontinental comparisons and technical difficulties.
