Resumen:
In the last decades, different research projects have tried to find links between the chemical and dynamical properties of galaxies with the aim at finding clues to their evolution. In this context, the analysis of the chemical abundances of the stellar and gas phases in galaxies is crucial because both the star formation history and the dynamics of the ensuing galactic winds are tied to the growth of the galaxy?s potencial well. In this work, we present preliminary results regarding the connection between the chemical abundances of gas and stars in galaxies extracted from EAGLE cosmological simulations. According to our results, oxygen abundances of star-forming (SF) gas and stars are strongly correlated since redshift z = 3, with a slope around 1 and higher metallicities for the SF gas. On the other hand, the oxygen abundances of the non SF gas exhibit a larger scatter and do not show a significant correlation with stellar metallicities. An increase of the supernova feedback efficiency tends to generate a decrease of the oxygen abundances of gas and stars, as expected; however, the strong correlation between SF gas and stellar abundances is preserved with an almost similar slope.
