Resumen:
We analyze the relation between the star formation activity andstellar chemical abundances of galaxies in theEAGLE (Evolution and Assembly of GaLaxies and their Environments)suite of cosmological simulations. Consistently with previousobservational works by Trussler et al., we found that, at a givenstellar mass, galaxies with lower star formation rates (SFRs) tend toshow higher metallicities, lower star-forming gas fractions and olderstellar populations. These trends are present, at least, sinceredshift z = 3 and for stellar masses M⋆ > 10**9 Msun . Inparticular, simulations predict a correlation between stellar massand stellar metallicity, consistently with the observed behaviour. Inthis article, we show preliminary results of this project.
