Resumen:
The sulfenylation of nitroalkanes and hydroxyaryls in DMSO using aryl disulfides as sulfenylatingreagents was studied. The corresponding arylthionitroalkanes and arylthiohydroxyaryls were obtainedin moderate to good yields in very mild conditions, thus improving the reported procedures for the synthesisof these compounds.
